I had no clue where to bring in an allegory for squirrel girl, I started looking up book references for famous allegory's, then Lizzy Squirrel ended up in some of my favorite books (although I have never actually read Fight Club). Just thought it would be fun to illustrate.
I am assuming everyone knows the references but if not here is a little glimpse.
Dorthoy Gale - Wizard of Oz
naive, young and simple, represents the American people. She is Everyman, led astray, and seeking the way back home.
The Ring - Lord of the Rings
The one ring illustrates how evil can entice and enslave. Wearing a wedding ring for instance announces our devotion and loyalty to their owner.
Effie Trinket-Hunger Games
The Capitols fashion and actions are a very modern allegory of today's celebrities ruling America and our decisions in our actions, fashion, and demeanor.
Tyler Durden - Fight Club
Wikipedia says "the post-war trauma in dealing with fascist destruction." yah sure Wiki sure.
"Follow the one ring, to the capitol, prepare for a fight."
